Job Description

Behavioral Health Technician

Community and School Based Behavioral Health

CenClear a provider of mental health services is seeking a dedicated and selfmotivated individual to fill the role as a Behavioral Health Technician within our Community and School Based Behavioral Health program. The successful candidates will be a part of a flexible work environment providing highquality direct and intensive treatment to help our clients respond to their daily environment.

Compensation

  • Yearly Salary Range $38200$39400

Hours

  • This is a fulltime position.
  • 40 hours per week 52 weeks per year
  • This includes school day coverage and evenings availability at least twice per week.

Location(s)

This position will work within East Juniata area in the Juniata County School District (time spent in each school will be contingent on the need at each location)

  • East Juniata Elementary School
    • Located at 54 Main St Richfield PA 17086
  • East Juniata High School
    • Located at 32944 Route 35 N McAlisterville PA 17049

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in a Human Services field of study.
  • Must obtain the following clearances prior to hire: PA State Police Criminal History PA Child Abuse History FBI Criminal History and Mandated Reporting Certificate

Responsibilities

  • Provide behavioral and therapeutic supports to clients within the program through a variety of treatment modalities including the family system model.
  • Assess client and family current levels of functioning and outcomes and assess for the presence of cooccurring disorders.
  • Comply with strengthsbased treatment planning treatment note and other paperwork requirements within the designated programmatic deadlines.
  • Utilize principles of trauma informed care in treatment as appropriate to an individual client or family.
  • Create a collaborative environment and establish a therapeutic culture that supports a positive behavioral support model.
  • Offer consultation and training to the school on specific behavioral health issues.
  • Schedule and facilitate meetings as needed
  • Establish a relationship of trust and respect with staff clients and parents.
  • Provide oncall crisis and triage services as scheduled.
  • Complete other tasks as requested by management team.

Physical Requirements

  • Reach overhead.
  • Lift and carry objects over fifty 50 pounds.
  • Stand for extended periods of time with reasonable breaks.
  • Walk and stand for periods of over one hour.
  • Climb stairs.
  • Stoop to move objects.
  • Bend to reach objects from the floor.
  • Use sweeper and other cleaning apparatus (push and pull).
  • Operate a motor vehicle.
  • Climb ladders and steps.
  • Operate power equipment according to guidelines.
  • Vision and hearing within normal limits.
