Job Summary
Are you a team player who is looking for a great coop placement in Health and Safety We would like to hear from you! We are currently hiring a Health and Safety Coop Assistant for our Health Safety & Environmental department. The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a postsecondary education in the kinesiology and/or health and safety field.
As the Health and Safety Coop Assistant you will utilize your excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills to assist the Senior Manager in performing physical demand analysis and assess the suitability of workstation design. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who has a passion for health and safety and wants to gain valuable experience in a manufacturing environment.
Work Arrangement: Onsite 5 days per week
Responsibilities
- Complete physical demands analysis
- Complete ergonomics risk assessments
- Provide support for other health and safety related projects
- Additional administrative duties as assigned
- Answer employee inquiries about health and safety policies procedures and programs
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a registered postsecondary coop program in Health and Safety or a similar field
- Excellent interpersonal organizational and customer service skills
- Strong computer skills to navigate the Physical Demands Analysis software program.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally in all written and verbal communications
- A team player who is also able to work independently with minimum supervision
