We are assisting our Headstart Partner OrganizationStep by Step Daycare. We are working to assist them in finding great candidates.

Step by Step Daycare is currently hiring Infant/Toddler Teachers for its North Chicago IL location.
The School Age Teacher will prepare and implement ageappropriate classroom lessons in core subjects and work to develop life skills and a love of learning in all their students.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
Instructional Management
Maintain at all times high quality child care standards based on developmentally appropriate practices.
Working conditions:
Mental demands/Physical demands/Environmental factors: Maintain emotional control under stress. Work with frequent interruptions. Occasional prolonged and irregular hours frequent standing stooping bending kneeling pushing and pulling; prolonged use of computer and repetitive hand motions; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in Education with a concentration in Child Development or Early Childhood
- Thorough understanding of child care center operations
- Strong organizational communication public relations computer and interpersonal skills
- Ability to follow policy and procedures
- Knowledge and implementation of Illinois child care guidelines and state licensing
- Comprehensive knowledge and proven success implementing programs for children based on developmentally appropriate practices
- Accepts and respects differences in children parents and coworkers
- Experience as a classroom teacher of young children
Job Type:
Pay: $15.00 $18.00 per hour
