Responsibilities
We seek a highly motivated and skilled entrylevel Civil Engineer to join our dynamic Water District team. As an integral member of our esteemed engineering department you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to various impactful projects that are pivotal in shaping the physical environment. This position is ideal for recent graduates with a passion for civil engineering and a desire to grow within a supportive and challenging environment.
- Perform entrylevel professional work including developmental assignments involving the application of standard techniques procedures and criteria in carrying out routine engineering tasks under direct supervision.
- Collaborate with project engineers to contribute to the planning design and of various civil engineering projects.
- Assist in analyzing reports maps drawings aerial photographs performing site visits and reviewing survey data to plan and assemble construction documents.
- Utilize engineering software and tools to perform analysis modeling and simulations to support design decisions.
- Conduct site visits surveys and field inspections to gather data and assess project requirements.
- Be responsible for project quality on tasks assigned as defined in the Quality Assurance / Quality Control guidelines.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited fouryear college or university.
- 01 years of experience in the field or related area including internships or coursework projects.
- EngineerInTraining (EIT) certification or passing the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam within six months of start date.
- Strong academic background in civil engineering fundamentals including structural analysis geotechnical engineering transportation engineering and hydraulic systems.
- Proficiency in using engineering software tools such as AutoCAD Civil 3D MicroStation ArcGIS or similar applications.
- Excellent problemsolving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Effective communication skills both written and verbal.
- Valid drivers license
