DescriptionPrimary Duties & Responsibilities
- Architecture and Design Support: Assist in the design and development of software for embedded systems and FPGA designs. Contribute to the documentation process including Requirements Documents block diagrams Design Documents and Interface Control Documents under the guidance of senior engineers.
- Development and Testing Support: Participate in the software and FPGA development process aiding in the implementation of designs and the of test plans at various levels of integration to ensure system performance and reliability.
- Integration and Test Assistance: Support senior engineers in developing Test Plans and engage in integration and testing activities facilitating a smooth transition from initial hardware bringup to final system validation. Education & Experience
- A Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field is required.
- Open to recent graduates and other early career candidates 35 years of experience). A Bachelors degree in Engineering Computer Science or a related field is required.
Skills
- Foundational Design and Development: Eagerness to contribute to the design and development of embedded systems and FPGA programming. A basic understanding of hardware/software tradeoffs is advantageous.
- Programming Proficiency: Knowledge of programming in C C and familiarity with Verilog for FPGA development is required. Experience with VHDL is beneficial but not mandatory. Experience with embedded Linux or realtime operating systems is beneficial but not required.
- Debugging and ProblemSolving: Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills are necessary with a willingness to tackle complex challenges.
- Collaboration and Communication: Ability to work effectively within a team environment showcasing strong communication skills and a collaborative work ethic.
