We Are Hiring!
We are looking for friendly compassionate and dedicated Home Care Aides
Since 1980 Chicago Commons has been committed to providing services to help seniors and adults with disabilities stay in their homes maintain their independence and enhance their quality of life.
We provide home care services to almost 1300 seniors throughout the Chicago Metropolitan area.
Work is Available on the following zip codes:0and other western suburbs.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan and prepare meals perform light housekeeping chores and tasks
- Making and changing beds dusting washing dishes vacuuming cleaning floors
- Assisting with selfadministered medication
- Remind client to take medication; reading instructions or utilization
- Assisting with personal care tasksi.e.shaving shampooing and combing hair
- Assisting with bathingtoiletingdressing brushing and cleaning teeth and dentures
- Assist with the appropriate use of equipment or supplies (canes wheelchairsetc. when transferring a client from the bed to a chair or to and from the bath or toilet
- Assisting the client with range of motion( suchas sitting up or standing)
- Escort client to medical facilities shopping and errands or individual business as specified in the plan of care
- Assist shopping or running of errands
- Actively participates in all staff meetings monthly inservice training and regular supervision
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
(To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required.
EDUCATION:
- High School Graduate/ GED equivalent or prior verifiable experience
- Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 6 months of relevant work experience
- Ability to speak / write English
- Bilingual ability a plus (Spanish Russian Polish)
- Be in compliance with all existing regulations and company policies.
- Must meet transportation language and cultural requirements specific to need
WORKING CONDITIONS:

- Must be prepared to work independently in individual homes
