About The Job

Position Summary:

The Construction Manager is responsible for everything that happens and fails to happen within the preconstruction construction and splicing phases of overall projects related to new build renewals and specialty projects assigned throughout South Florida. This position will be heavily involved with interfacing with various municipalities and will be required to attend preconstruction meetings to identify any potential new or existing plant conflicts coordinate with Municipalitys HOAs for assigned construction work .

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the preconstruction and construction phases of new and renewal project deliver on time on budget and within quality and safety standards.

  • Resolve OSP roadblocks.

  • Manage third party preconstruction and construction vendors and suppliers.

  • Supervise construction crews.

  • Participate in project meetings and effectively support the overall project effort.

  • Manage and meet preconstruction and construction schedules intervals and due dates.

  • Perform weekly status calls to each jurisdiction to check the progress of the permits.

  • Inspect and assure construction work quality and crew safety.

  • Manage document and record construction field changes.

  • Verify supplier invoices match the work actually performed in the field and ensure that all contractual specifications are met.

Job Requirements:

  • Must be able to manage multiple aggressive RFP and design construction schedules and responses.

  • Must be able to understand and read construction documents.

  • Familiar with all facets of construction management including quoting construction and on time delivery.

  • Ability to define problems collect date establish facts and draw valid conclusions.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must

  • Ensure that all projects follow sound industry standard and locally required construction practices and support the strategic goals of the company.

  • Participate in 24 x 7 oncall rotation

  • Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from two years college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training.

  • Strong knowledge of windows operating systems

  • Back office enterprise network technologies preferable

  • 5 years of telecommunication construction

  • English (Required) / Spanish is a plus

Qualifications:

5 years of Telecommunications Construction experiences or equivalent Telecommunications experiences.
