JOB SUMMARY/PURPOSE:
This position ensures the stability and integrity of DDI services and enhancements. This is achieved by planning designing and developing DNS DHCP and IPAM management tools across the organization. This position is also responsible for analysis of network characteristics and recommendations for removals and modifications to network components.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

1. Provide overall design guidelines for DDI integration performance reliability operating and innovation. Support business units in the creation of project business cases (e.g. success criteria).
2. Capture business capability requirements functional requirements and expected service levels from business unit to create an actionable ITNetworking roadmap (a longrange plan for the business that identifies specific IT investments in infrastructure to support business objectives).

3. Support infrastructure leadership in identifying opportunities for emerging technologies through collaboration to enable business strategies. Provide an advisory role with the client on the impact of new technologies on their existing technical and network environment.

4. Work with BA and PM teams to review strategies and requirements. Ensure business and functional requirements are maintained throughout the development/configuration process. Review and analyze results to validate the functions of the delivered solution.
5. Maintain strong understanding of networking technology needs and solutions for the business unit. Regularly visit business units to assess satisfaction and identify followup opportunities. Consider alternate delivery models for meeting business needs.

6. Liaise between the client vendors project management and the technical teams on questions issues and revisions to the solution architecture.


Education Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience. Masters degree is a plus.

Minimum Requirements:

8 years of DDI support and management experience is needed

5 years Designing/Build/Migration experience of complex DDI systems in enterprise environments


Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities:

  • Expertise designing transforming managing and migrating complex Infoblox Environments.
  • Been technical lead with hands on Infoblox implantations/migrations.
  • Expert understanding of Network Services DNS DHCP ISC BIND NTP and TCP/IP
  • Experience architecting implementing and configuring OEM platforms especially InfoBlox. BlueCat or VitalQIP is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of IP addressing design
  • Experience with Microsoft DDI and Opensource DDI (ISC BIND and ISC DNS etc. Desired.
  • Proven experience planning and executing migrations to or from any of the various DDI OEM platforms
  • Perl and Python scripting is desired
  • Knowledge of switches routers load balancers and firewalls and their interactions with DDI is a must.
  • Network Operating Systems: MS Active Directory Linux UNIX etc.

Any certificates licenses etc. required of the position

Certifications in InfoBlox is a plus
