Irrigation Technician - Miramar Military Base

We are actively seeking an Irrigation Technician to join our Employment Services team. In this role you will maintain and repair complex irrigation systems on a large military base (Miramar) ensuring that all pipes valves clocks and controllers are functioning properly while maintaining safety standards and contract requirements.

The schedule for this position is Mon Fri 6:30a3pm and the pay range for this position is $32.30 to $32.30 per hour.

• A task oriented individual who enjoys troubleshooting and solving problems independently
• Someone with strong technical skills and an eye for maintaining industry standards

A typical day will include:

• Installing inspecting troubleshooting and repairing irrigation systems
• Operating equipment such as tractors and backhoes to excavate and install new systems
• Identifying broken or malfunctioning parts and making repairs promptly
• Adjusting watering schedules based on weather and water usage requirements
• Collaborating with the Manager to meet service requirements

What youll need to be successful:

• Bachelors degree or certification in irrigation (or ability to obtain certification within one year)
• At least 3 years of experience working with commercial irrigation systems
• Strong knowledge of water conservation practices including CIMIS
• Experience with both electronic and manual watering systems
• Valid CA Drivers License with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently while following safety protocols

Wed love it if you:

• Have experience working with drought tolerant plants and native species
• Bilingual (English/Spanish)
• Have prior experience supervising a work crew or team
