This position is directly responsible for new student outreach with an emphasis on the recruitment and matriculation of qualified prospective students. This position involves travel to college fairs school visits and other recruitment events. This position includes responsibility for building and maintaining strong relationships with school counselors and providing University updates to support the students they serve.
Successful recruitment and matriculation of new undergraduate students requires the ability to communicate effectively with students families faculty staff advisors and the campus community. Duties include facilitating admissions presentations to large or small groups and providing assistance to prospective student and parent inquiries in both Spanish and English.
This counselor position is responsible for the recruitment and enrollment of new undergraduate students to Illinois State University. This position represents the university at on and offcampus events (school visits college fairs parent nights open houses etc. serves as a point of contact for school counselors and manages individual communication with students and families in their recruitment territory. Counselors regularly meet one on one with students and families to assist with the admission and enrollment process for Illinois State. This position is often the first point of contact for families as students begin their college search.

MondayFriday 84:30 PM some evening and weekend work.
