The Audio Systems Integration Engineer will lead the design and development of audio systems and be responsible for complete endtoend integration of audio components. You will lead systemlevel design activities and work side by side with various crossfunctional teams to support product design vehicle behaviors definition prototype bringup and validation with a system level focus. You will lead bringup and validation activities for each vehicle build and be responsible for overall functionality and performance of audio systems throughout product life cycle. You will Conceptualize Design Engineer Develop and support the launch of nextgeneration vehicle platform architectures for electric vehicles
Responsibilities- Lead audio hardware integration by developing executing and reporting on integration test plans for hardware components and system features to rapidly retire risk from new designs and provide feedback to development teams
- Define test and validate hardware and system requirements for audio components system functions and customer features
- Lead and manage integration of initial prototype systems including bringup debug and engineering test of prototype bucks labcars and vehicles
- Create hardware and system product specifications for audio components interface directly with suppliers to lead sourcing design activities and work with suppliers to deliver the components within build plan
- Contribute to the development and validation of electrical architecture perform trade studies to realize efficient design strategies and optimize for cost
- Provide strategyfor component delivery working directly with purchasing team
- Drive functional safety analyses and decomposition of complex vehicle subsystems create functional boundary diagrams and system interface specifications
- Support systems integration efforts with interface definition development and testing in collaboration with subject matter experts and other crossfunctional engineering teams
- Utilize internal systems to document part releases
- Build audio system to execute demos and validate overall system performance
- Acoustic electrical and mechanical measurement system assessment
Qualifications- B.S in Electrical Computer or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Five years experience in a similar role
- Experience and working knowledge of systems development vehicle electrical architecture functional safety and component level integration planning
- Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and ability to apply them to automotive concepts
- Experience designing and releasing electronic components from concept through production
- Proven debugging and diagnostic skills in electrical mechanical and software domains
- Experience with Vehicle Network Protocols such as CAN LIN & Automotive Ethernet
- Experience with creating and executing component and system level test procedures
- Experience with requirements capture in requirements management software platforms (JAMA etc)
- Experience with Vehicle homologation andvehicle regulations
- Excellent teamwork problemsolving communication and project management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- An eagerness to work crossfunctionally in a dynamic environment where you are part of a high performing team
- A systems approach to design and development with the desire and curiosity to strive for exceptional delivery and continuous improvement
Preferred Requirements:
- Masters Degree Electrical Engineering Computer Science Mechanical Engineering or related fields
- Handson experience with electrical test equipment (oscilloscopes DMMs signal generators power supplies etc.
- Experience with Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) and Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment (HARA)
- Experience with electrical / electromechanical devices involving networked microcontrollers and embedded software
- Experience with creating and modifying network interface description files is a plus
