Job Summary:
This role based in either Warren New Jersey or Chicago Illinois will be responsible for overseeing US ceded operational functions and administration of all Everest Insurance placed reinsurance contracts within the reinsurance platform. This role will be responsible for ceded reinsurance operations including premium and claim functions data strategy delivering reporting insights and analytics to improve placement and financial outcomes developing operational efficiencies assisting in the mitigation of operational risk supporting audits and regulatory reporting and contributing to broader transformational efforts. The Head of Ceded Reinsurance Operations is expected to interface with senior leadership auditors stakeholders with an emphasis on a strong internal control environment. In addition this role will participate in cross functional and global initiatives to deliver new capabilities and efficiencies into reinsurance processes and workflows.
Role & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Manage the U.S. Ceded Reinsurance operations team
Oversee the integration enhancement and deployment of global reinsurance system.
Ensure that all data and analytics outputs are reviewed for clarity quality and accuracy.
Partner with Business Segments and Finance to onboard new contracts including performing a due diligence and ensuring compliance with Everests accounting and reporting standards.
Collaborate with global technical teams to deliver and refine data accuracy and performance metrics.
Provide guidance and build efficiencies with the U.S. ceded reinsurance operational team
Manage and develop resources to ensure cross training process documentation process improvements to support qualitative and timely delivery.
Collaborate with the group level Finance and Ceded Re teams to leverage consistent and accurate output of financial data to support analytics and automated workflows.
Deliver comprehensive dashboarding and reporting solutions that drive insights and transparency.
Implement a strategic vision for troubleshooting challenging scenarios.
Provide data support for regulatory reporting as well as internal and external audits ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree or advanced degree and/or 15 years in Insurance Reinsurance System Integration or Operations or related field.
Proven experience in data management and business analysis with a focus on insurance and financial data.
Strong leadership within global environment
Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Knowledge Skills & Competencies:
Proficiency in data analytics tools and software such as SQL and BI tools.
Strong analytical and problemsolving skills with an eye for detail and accuracy.
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans with a focus on innovation and improvement.
Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Adept at working collaboratively across global teams and departments.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying up to date with industry trends and best practices.
