Acutronic is looking for a Senior Staff Accountant to join our team in Austin TX. In this role you will directly support the Acutronic Groups US Financial Director and the Aerospace Component Divisions General Manager with a range of tasks including but not limited to treasury management receivables payables payroll 401k fixed asset register maintenance general ledger reconciliations monthend close and management information reporting. Our ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in the field of accounting and/or finance with at least 2 years gained in an industrial manufacturing or engineering environment.
Senior Staff Accountant
Your Roles/Responsibilities:
- Perform month quarterend and yearend close process including preparation of related schedules
- Responsible for customer invoicing and all accounts receivable activities including credit control and assisting Project Management as required to meet customer requirements associated with invoicing and ensuring timely payment by customer
- Maintain fixed asset register and prepare monthly depreciation journal entries
- Support payroll and 401k processing
- Assist with cash flow forecasting
- Prepare and submit sales tax returns
- Review and compare customer purchase orders and project budgets for entry of new projects into the ERP system
- Assist with external audits of financial statements 401k plan and workers compensation
Your Profile/Qualifications/Skills:
- Bachelors Degree in Finance Business or a related field preferred
- Minimum 5 years experience in the field of accounting and/or finance with at least 2 years gained in an industrial manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience with government contracts preferred
- Experience with project cost accounting and percentage of completion revenue recognition strongly preferred
