The Department of Pediatrics Division of Pediatric Cardiology invites applications for a faculty position at the Assistant Professor level in the broad area of Cardiovascular Biology (MD and/or PhD required).
Our highvolume clinical center is seeking motivated individuals who are passionate about altering the outcomes of patients with congenital heart disease. Our center is known for both advancements in basic science (developmental biology 3D bioprinting of valves and vascular models stem cellbased investigations of CHD and novel technologies aiding in detection and treatment of CHD) and for outcomesbased research. Our faculty are dedicated mentors in these arenas.
The ideal candidate would focus on areas of particular interest: outcomesbased research; computational exploration of potential surgical or transcatheter solutions in congenital heart disease;and/or artificial intelligence use in big data. Approaches that capitalize on exploration in outcomes or new approaches in heart transplantation pulmonary hypertension bioengineering cardiac genetics and cardio oncology are strongly preferred. The candidate will be expected to develop an innovative externally funded research program as well as engage in crossdisciplinary research programs.
