Job Description
Infosys is seeking aPostgreSQL DBA Developer.This position will interface with key stakeholders andapplytechnical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation Application Architecture definition and Design; play an important role in creating the highlevel design artifacts; deliver high quality code deliverables for a module lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation transition and warranty. Required Qualifications:
- Candidate must be located within commuting distance ofPlano TXor be willing to relocate to the area prior to onboarding. This position may require travel in the US.
- Bachelors degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
- At least 4 years of experience in Database Industry with hands on experience with PostgreSQL or EDB Postgres databases
- Customerfacing experience with the ability to identify customer pain points just not in terms of database specific needs but the overall platform and data needs.
- At least 3 strong relational database experience (PostgreSQL MySQL Oracle SQL Server). Active use or administration of such database(s)
- Tuning and debugging experience with DB Server SQL and SQL Query

Preferred Qualification:
- Build database systems of high availability and quality depending on each end users specialized role
- Design and implement database in accordance to end users information needs and views
- Define users and enable data distribution to the right user in appropriate format and in a timely manner
- Use highspeed transaction recovery techniques and backup data
- Minimize database downtime and manage parameters to provide fast query responses
- Provide proactive and reactive data management support and training to users
- Determine enforce and document database policies procedures and standards
- Perform tests and evaluations regularly to ensure data security privacy and integrity
- Monitor database performance implement changes and apply new patches and versions when required
- Proven working experience as a Database Administrator
- Handson experience with database standards and end user applications
- Excellent knowledge of data backup recovery security integrity and SQL
- Familiarity with the database design documentation and coding
- Previous experience with DBA case tools (frontend/backend) and thirdparty tools
- Familiarity with programming languages API
- Problem solving skills and ability to think algorithmically
