Paid Time Off:
AMSURG offers paid time off 9 observed holidays and paid family leave. You accrue Paid Time Off (PTO) each pay period and depending on your position and can earn a minimum of 20 days and up to 25 days per calendar year.
POSITION SUMMARY:
TheSenior Accountantis responsible for supervising and reviewing work provided by a team of staff accountants. Duties may include oversight full cycle accounting functions and activity monthly financial reporting cash management bank reconciliations budget analysis and work paper presentation of a group of ambulatory surgical centers (ASC). In addition to these duties this position may also provide opportunities for involvement in process improvements financial analysis and special projects.
Work Schedule is RemoteCentric Hybrid:All applicants must be within commutable range of our office located in the Green Hills section of Nashville TN.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Primary resource for internal colleagues regarding operations and/or financial issues.
- Review all work provided by a team of staff accountants.
- Train and mentor staff accountants with regards to technical issues and accounting responsibilities.
- Monthly income statement trend analysis and other preparation for review of ASC financial reports.
- Provide research and assistance with ASC work papers and reconciliations.
- Monitor ASC compliance with accounting controls and policies.
- Provide accounting and general ledger work for specified surgery centers as needed.
- Perform miscellaneous financial analysis.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures including Information Security Policies and ensure that AMSURG remains as secure as possible.
- Special projects and other jobrelated duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skills and/or abilities required:
Education/Experience:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting from a fouryear Accredited College or University.
- Three or more years of accounting industry experience.
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite programs (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.; Accounting software; PC laptop.
- Previous supervisory and/or healthcare experience is a plus but not required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to handle multiple simultaneous tasks effectively and efficiently while maintaining a professional courteous manner. Must be able to work well with others. Strong verbal and written communication skills required. Must be detail oriented and organized. High integrity including maintenance of confidential information. Must be able to exercise good judgment. Based on business need the ability to work a flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends. Must pass a background check and drug screen.
