Our Brisbane Infrastructure Team is experiencing growth due to recently secured high profile projects and future workforce planning requirements. We are currently looking for a Senior Structural Bridge Engineer to assist with planning and delivery of ongoing and future projects within our wellestablished multidisciplinary consultancy.
The successful candidate will have solid experience in the transport sector with a strong technical background. You will be provided with an opportunity to motivate and mentor team members and secure key roles on a variety of different projects for wellknown reputable Clients.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading and managing the delivery of engineering commitments in accordance with scope schedule budget and procedures to ensure successful project completion
- Providing structural engineering analysis and design for bridges and associated structures to Australian Standards
- Conducting structural condition assessments
- Preparing reviewing and checking engineering calculations drawingstechnical specifications and scopes of work
- Leading in and contributing to design reviews
- Leading the design projects from tender through feasibility to detailed design
- Client/Stakeholder management
- Managing commercial aspects of projects
- Assisting on bidding and tenders
- Attending site visits where required
- Mentoring junior staff
Key required qualifications and experience:
- Degree qualified in Civil Engineering from a recognized tertiary institution
- CPEng and RPEQ accreditations will be well regarded
- Proven structural engineering design experience including bridges culverts retaining walls sign structures
- Proficient with structural design software such as SpaceGass ASBD Strand 7 and Midas Civil
- Good working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office packages
- Demonstrated knowledge of industry and/or regulatory standards relating to structural engineering including Australian and TMR standards.
- Experience in the coordination design and delivery of bridge engineering packages within multidisciplinary transport infrastructure projects
- Design experience in construction engineering will be an advantage
- Prior experience within the public infrastructure sectors
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with all levels of staff and clients
