University of Minnesota Physicians seeks an enthusiastic independent Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join a growing Urology team at Fairview Lakes Medical Center.
University of Minnesota Urology providers are national leaders in the diagnosis treatment and prevention of diseases and conditions of the urinary system. Using the latest treatment techniques University of Minnesota providers deliver both general and specialized Urology care for both men and women. Join our practice of more than 20 Urology surgeons and 11 Advanced Practice Providers at the forefront of our specialty as we continue to lead innovative and pioneering efforts in urologic care.
In This Role You Will:
The candidate will be required to perform history and physicals comprehensive review of systems and thorough chart reviews as well as prescribing medications/ therapies ordering diagnostic tests performing minor therapeutic procedures providing perioperative evaluations and firstassisting in the OR.
Function at a very high level of autonomy. Although independent this candidate will resource close MD availability in decision making.
Practice will incorporate outpatient inpatient and OR firstassisting responsibilities.
Outpatient focus will be general urology. Clinic will be in Wyoming MN and primarily inperson with virtual options in the future.
Inpatient responsibilities will include postoperative assessments rounding on an inpatient Urology cohort and completing hospital or ED consults at the Fairview Lakes Medical Center.
Operating room firstassistant responsibilities will be at Fairview Lakes Medical Center.
Work 40 hours per week schedule varying between 7AM 5PM Monday through Friday. May include some weekends. May include infrequent crosscoverage responsibilities at other M Health locations such as Maplewood. With appropriate notification specific hours/days may be adjusted to support patient clinic and staff needs.

Were Looking For a PA or NP Who Is:
- A graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or formal Adult Nurse Practitioner training program.
- Eligible or is certified through NCCPA ANCC or AANP.
- Licensed or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through the MN Board of Medical Practice (PAs) or MN APRN license or eligible to acquire a license and prescriptive authority through MN Board of Nursing (NPs).
- Able to meet threshold criteria/qualifications for credentialing and privileges.
- Preference will be given to those with Urology or surgical experience but this is not required for consideration

The fulltime salary range is $120756 $148359 commensurate with practice experience and may also include incentive compensation or additional specialtyspecific compensation components. Salary prorated based on FTE.
