Job Summary:

The Director of Community Life is a member of the Student Engagement team within Student Life and Formation and reports to the Dean of Students. Areas of oversight include Associated Student Body governance student leader development (LEAD) student portal app planning and communication for Traditional Undergraduate student programming.

Job Description:

What Were Looking For:

  • A collaborative leader who can engage and support students in their personal professional and spiritual growth

  • A strategic thinker who can oversee student governance leadership programs and campus engagement initiatives

  • An effective mentor with experience guiding college students in leadership development

  • A strong communicator with excellent organizational and conflict management skills

  • A techsavvy professional with proficiency in GSuite and experience with app administration (preferred)

  • A budgetconscious manager with experience overseeing financial resources

  • A passionate educator who values cocurricular learning and student involvement

  • A team player who can collaborate across departments to enhance student life

  • A culturally competent leader who values diversity and inclusion in student programming

  • A faithdriven individual committed to Christian values and active church involvement

What Youll Be Doing:

  • Oversee Associated Student Body (ASB) governance and student leadership programs

  • Develop and implement yearround leadership training for student leaders

  • Advise and oversee Student Senate and student organizations

  • Manage and oversee multiple ASB and departmental budgets

  • Lead the Student Leader Development (LEAD) committee and leadership initiatives

  • Coordinate and support student programming via the Campus Activities Taskforce

  • Serve as the primary cocurricular admin for the student portal app

  • Support spiritual growth initiatives within student organizations

  • Ensure effective communication and planning for student programming

  • Serve on the CoCurricular Education Committee

Qualifications:


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The work is primarily sedentary and may require sitting for extended periods of time. Use of computer equipment: computer keyboard mouse and monitor. Vision to read documents email and other correspondence and reports on paper and computer monitor. Ability to communicate effectively with others in person and by phone. Will also stand stoop push pull and lift up to 10 lbs throughout the day.
