Description

Gage Pyrometerare paid a top hourly base rate of $43.60 plus applicable shift overtime and holiday premiums. The starting rate for this position is$42.325with pay increases to the top rate upon completion of three consecutive months of employment.

Responsibilities

Willingness and ability to work on any assigned schedule change shifts work more than 8 hours per day and/or work overtime all while maintaining good attendance. Ability and willingness to learn and follow safety rules and procedures to work in a team environment treat coworkers with dignity and respect regardless of personal differences and accept and follow instructions and requests from leadership. Ability and willingness to understand and follow instructions both oral or in writing.

Ability to perform tasks of the trade stand for extended periods walk unassisted work at heights work overhead including on ladders and platforms and manipulate tools typical of the trade.Tasks will require a certain amount of reaching lifting twisting bending and use of a PMHV or hilo.Ability to perceive differences in details and prints related to trade. Must be able to effectively maneuver about vehicles equipment assembly lines or stations and about facility.



Qualifications

Candidates must have completed a bona fide apprenticeship or have 8 years of previous experience or have a combination of previous work experience and training equivalent to a bona fide apprenticeship program in the trade. Must hold Journeypersons card or proof of completion of Apprenticeship (State Certified) for the Pyrometer/Instrument Repair/Gage Repair trade.

  1. Fully understand Health and Safety requirements and how it affects themselves and the team both in production and all maintenance activities
  2. Fully understand what constitutes a hazard in the workplace adhere to safety processes
  3. Maintains repairs calibrates tests resets and replaces instruments specific to the trade guidelines.
  4. Perform daily verification of gages per Ford Automotive Procedures/Powertrain Procedures
  5. Must be able to verify gages and masters
  6. Perform Part Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing analysis
  7. Operate / Troubleshoot a variety of Gages on production floor
  8. Perform gage bench audits verifications and surveillance of gages on production floor
  9. Ensure Gage Tracking System is kept up to date reflecting location and status of gages
  10. Effectively Communicate
    1. Communicate with Vendors and Supervision in order to facilitate timely equipment repairs to support production. Submit Tickets to vendors to request repairs
    2. Work with Engineering plantwide to report gage discrepancies
    3. Send out Gear Manufacturing Daily Verification shift letter
  11. Computer skills
    1. Ability to use Outlook Word and EXCEL for communication & data entry.
    2. Ability to use Internal Quality System Gage Tracking System for Gage data and monitoring.

Successful completion of a job interview preemployment drug screen physical and background check are required. Drug panel does not include THC.
