JOB SUMMARY
An OB Technician I performs specific tasks related to patient care in the Obstetrical Unit as delegated by a Registered Professional Nurse. Assists in the nursing care and preparation of the surgical patient functions as a member of the sterile team in preparing for intraoperative care assisting the surgeon and maintaining the sterile field.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Type: Full Time 72 hours per 2 week pay period with benefits)
Typical Hours: Night Shift 12 hours/shift weekend rotation
Education:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
One of the following is required:
1. Successful and proof of completion of an unlicensed assistive personnel curriculum that meets the minimum training standards as outlined in 19 CSR 3020.125OR
2. Is certified as a nursing assistant as defined in section 198.082 RSMo. OR
3. Has a minimum of two 2 years documented experience as a Nursing Assistant Emergency Medical Technician or Surgical Technician in the past three 3 years
Certification & Licensures:
BLS Certification
Expderience:
Previous hospital or nursing home experience preferred
Previous electronic charting experience preferred
