Are you a passionate Physical Therapist looking for a rewarding career We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist Float to join our outstanding rehabilitation team. This position offers a dynamic work environment allowing you to gain experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings. As a Float Physical Therapist you will rotate between three nearby locations including Bath NY and Elmira NY delivering highquality care to diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients physical conditions and develop individualized treatment plans.
Implement corrective exercises and rehabilitation treatments including gait training soft tissue mobilization ultrasound electrical stimulation and more.
Educate patients on proper use of assistive devices such as wheelchairs crutches canes and braces.
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
Collaborate with an interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
Maintain accurate documentation including evaluations treatment plans and progress reports.
Ensure compliance with hospitalwide safety protocols and infection control procedures.
Participate in departmental meetings training sessions and professional development activities.
Assist in transporting patients when necessary and provide guidance to support staff.
Maintain and ensure proper use of therapy equipment and supplies.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be licensed or eligible to obtain a Physical Therapy license in New York State at the time of hire.
Experience: Hospital setting experience preferred but not required.
Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift at least 30 pounds independently and up to 150 pounds with assistance.
Infection Control: Must adhere to universal precautions and hospital policies to ensure patient safety.
