Job Description

The opportunity

Manulife is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Employee Experience Technology team. This role is pivotal in delivering innovative technology solutions that enhance our Human Resources Colleague Communications and Employee Experience platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in full stack development cloud platforms and data integration.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design development and deployment of full stack applications including both frontend and backend components.

  • Lead or participate in design reviews with the squad and business to ensure that each increment adheres to original vision as described in the user story and all standard resource libraries and architecture patterns as appropriate.

  • Analyze existing code data mappings and workflows to address future improvements.

  • Design develop test deliver maintain and improve business applications as a member of a team working across full stack through the entire software development lifecycle.

  • Design enduser interfaces databases APIs and serverside logic while maintain both front and backend web applications components.

  • Apply disciplined coding practices to enable agility and delivery of highquality code.

  • Conduct a wide range of tests and analysis to ensure software applications meets or exceeds standards and enduser requirements.

  • Develop detailed system design specifications to serve as a guide for system/program development.

  • Resolve application vulnerabilities as identified through standard application health checks.

  • Collaborate with HR and employee communication teams to understand their technology needs and deliver effective solutions.

  • Implement and manage cloudbased platforms to support scalable and reliable applications.

  • Consolidate and integrate data from multiple sources ensuring seamless data flow and accuracy.

  • Develop and maintain ETL processes and data lakes to support datadriven decisionmaking.

  • Ensure the security performance and scalability of applications.

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.

  • Stay uptodate with the latest industry trends and technologies to drive continuous improvement.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience in full stack development including frontend (e.g. React Angular) and backend (e.g. Node.js Python) technologies.

  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud.

  • Expertise in data integration ETL processes and data lakes.

  • Solid understanding of HR and Communications technology and their integration (Adobe Experience Manager ServiceNow Workday ADP Salesforce).

  • Excellent problemsolving skills and attention to detail.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fastpaced dynamic environment.

  • Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.

  • Experience with microservices architecture and containerization (e.g. Docker Kubernetes).

  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.

  • Knowledge of data privacy and security regulations

Salary range is expected to be between

$110530.00 CAD $205270.00 CAD
