Job Description

The Opportunity

Manulife Group Functions (GF) is seeking to hire a Senior Manager Business Continuity Management. This role will enable business and IT partners to recognize and manage their business continuity and operational resilience risks in a dynamic environment. It will participate in critical projects and initiatives to ensure business continuity risk is always considered assessed and managed. The role serves as a trusted partner to guide the business and empower them to protect their critical business processes and ensure operational resilience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement transition plans for segment thirdparty vendors to ensure seamless continuity of operations.

  • Serve as the primary contact for business continuity requirements.

  • Enhance the operational business risk management framework by mapping various items daily to support resilience.

  • Provide support for business continuity efforts aligning with Manulifes new resiliency model.

  • Empower business partners to identify and manage their business continuity and operational resilience risks effectively.

  • Lead and participate in key projects and initiatives ensuring that business continuity risk is consistently considered and managed.

  • Collaborate remotely with a team to achieve business goals while safeguarding our ability to deliver infrastructure services during disruptions.

What we are looking for

  • 5 years of experience in Business Continuity Business Resilience Information Technology/Systems Project Management or Vendor Management from a large complex organization.

  • Professional certification in BCM (ABCP CBCP MBCI or MBCP) is a plus or working towards obtaining certification.

  • Strong personal computing skills (MS Office) and familiarity with BCM Planning tools and/or relational databases (e.g. Fusion Risk Management PowerBI).

  • Broad understanding of system technologies and Business Resilience/Disaster Recovery tools and techniques.

  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to develop and deliver effective user education sessions and presentation to all organizational levels.

  • Proven ability to build relationships engage and influence others.

  • Knowledge of OSFI (B10 & E21 is required.

Salary range is expected to be between

$94220.00 CAD $174980.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions geography and relevant jobrelated factors such as knowledge skills qualifications experience and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
