As an Investment Operations Analyst you will play a pivotal role in achieving efficient and effective investment outcomes for Hostplus members. By partnering with the Investment Strategy Team and our Asset Consultant you will ensure seamless investment implementation and independently administer the investment portfolio. Your responsibilities will include analysing and reporting quality data for informed investment decisionmaking ensuring regulatory compliance managing key stakeholders and managing the liquidity needs of Hostplus.

This role sits within the Operations Stream with your primary focus on investment operations activities. Additionally you will assist the wider Investment Operations and Implementation team as needed.

The opportunity

As an Investment Operations Analyst you will play a pivotal role in achieving efficient investment outcomes for Hostplus members. You will work closely with the Custodian Asset Consultant and other service providers to meet daily weekly monthly and periodic investment operational and reporting tasks. Your responsibilities will include checking daily option unit prices reconciling and analysing investment management fees and capital calls and preparing various investmentrelated reports for the Audit Committee. Additionally you will monitor and manage the funds cash flow and liquidity levels assist with APRA reporting and ensure compliance with legal and market access documentation.

You will also contribute to the wider Investment Operations and Implementation team by providing support across all asset classes and functions. This includes reviewing the work of team members and evaluating current procedures to identify areas for improvement. Your role will involve preparing investment and asset class analytics monitoring investment manager compliance and assisting with regulatory reporting such as Portfolio Holdings Disclosure obligations. By partnering with the Investment Strategy Team and our Asset Consultant you will ensure seamless investment implementation and independently administer the investment portfolio.

About you

You will have a minimum of 3 years experience in investment operations with strong knowledge of investments risk management and compliance. Your excellent verbal and written communication skills will enable you to manage internal and external customers effectively. You will demonstrate a high attention to accuracy and detail and have the proven ability to identify analyse and resolve complex issues efficiently. Your indepth understanding of the superannuation environment will be crucial along with your ability to apply deep research to develop solutions.

You will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as science economics engineering finance or investment management. Additionally postgraduate qualifications through relevant finance industry bodies (e.g. CFA FINSIA IMCA) are preferred. Your commitment to ongoing improvement at both personal and organisational levels will be highly valued.
