General Information & Responsibilities
Black Hawk College seeks Adjunct Faculty/Parttime Instructor in Auto Mechanics at East Campus in Galva IL
Review of applications will begin immediately.
Description of Duties
Faculty member is expected to encourage learning by preparing appropriate syllabi; by developing lectures discussions and other presentations or activities to enhance the students educational experience; develops and executes appropriate methods of evaluating students performance; develops secures and maintains the equipment and other instructional materials essential to the presentation of the classroom material.
Education & Experience
Bachelor of Science in Industrial Technology with course work specialization in auto mechanics and/or a minimum of five years work experience in the auto mechanics field is required. At least two years of work experience in auto mechanics is required. Previous teaching experience in Auto Mechanics at the community college level preferred. Must possess demonstrated oral English proficiency for classroom instruction.

Minimum starting pay for adjunct faculty (as of Fall 2024
Less Than a Masters Degree $693.36 per equated hour
Masters Degree $808.92 per equated hour
Doctorate $866.70 per equated hour
