Job Description
The Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center LSUHSC School of Dentistry at New Orleans seeks nominations and applications for the position of Chair Department of Pediatric Dentistry a fulltime tenure track position at the assistant professor or greater level. The School of Dentistry seeks candidates whose experience teaching research and service have prepared them to contribute to our commitment to diversity and excellence in dental education. The Chair is an integral part of the School of Dentistrys Leadership team. The position is associated with four critical areas of responsibility: predoctoral education advanced education scholarly activity and patient care. Other duties will include administrative responsibilities such as departmental planning budgeting staffing and supervision. This position reports to the Dean of the School of Dentistry. Academic appointment and salary will be commensurate with training and experience. Qualification Requirements: Candidates must possess highly developed academic leadership skills and academic credentials. Applicants must have a D.D.S. / D.M.D. degree or equivalent and completion of an A.D.A. accredited advanced education program in Pediatric Dentistry and certification by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
