In this role you will be working as a Line Designer for a client that works in electrical engineering consulting services to electric utilities commercial and industrial entities colleges and universities and renewable energy developers and providers. This position will be responsible for:
- Investigating surveying designing and staking electric distribution lines in accordance with construction specifications
- Oversee the construction of or design of assigned distribution line projects
- Prepare staking sheets
- Prepare work orders or other material required for the job accurately and completely
- Direct and perform staking within existing RUS state local and company guidelines
- Cost estimating
- Create contracts for new and existing distribution lines
- Direct and perform maintenance on automated mapping and facilities management systems
- Obtain easements and rightofway when needed
- Design power lines to fit the locality weather conditions local activity and operations
- Manage construction projects
This position is a contract to permanent role that has the possibility of becoming a long term need for my client. This role must be worked onsite with the ability to travel 2535 of the time including occasional overnight travel primarily within Indiana and occasionally surrounding states.

Job Requirements
- Associates Degree from an ABET accredited university OR relevant industry experience required
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology preferred
- Experience in the utility and industrial power fields preferred
- Knowledge of electrical theory and power engineering preferred
- Ability to use GPS equipment required
- Ability to possess and maintain a valid drivers license required
