Job Description
Role: Upstream Process Engineer
Location:
- 23 days/week Conshohocken PA.
- 12 days/week work from home (WFH).
- Occasional visits to offices in Horsham PA.
Duration:12 months (with potential extensionfor installation support and startup in North Carolina).
Responsibilities:
- Support design efforts forfedbatch bioreactorsandprimary cell separationprocesses scaling up to15000 L.
- Collaborate on the creation ofProcess Flow Diagrams (PFDs) Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs)andprocess descriptions.
- Assist in the development and review ofUser Requirement Specifications (URS)and other baseline design documents.
- Work with vendors to evaluate equipment options review vendor documents and provide feedback.
- Participate inHAZOPandsafety studiesto ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Interface with crossfunctional teams including automation safety and equipment vendors to ensure design integration.
Requirements:
- AS/BS/MS in Engineering or a related discipline.
- 25 years of experience in upstream biologics processing with expertise in fedbatch bioreactors and cell separation.
- Ability to read understand and contribute to design documents (PFDs P&IDs URS).
- Strong interdisciplinary collaboration skills.
- Reside within commuting distance of Conshohocken PA.
