Investigator
Duties will include but are not limited to:
Reviews case reports regarding criminal elements and plans a course of action for the investigation. Conducts investigation of cases assigned.
Seizes stolen properties and contraband when necessary. Obtains and protects evidence in criminal cases.
Works with medical examiners and forensic specialists to determine the pathology of homicides; examines crime scene for clues and evidence.
Maintains unassigned cases for future leads.
Arrests criminal law violators.
Obtains supporting information from government agencies private industry community organization and the public as a part of the investigation.
Presents completed investigations to District Attorney for prosecution. Documents all aspects of the investigation as it is conducted.
Transports arrestees from locations throughout the State of Texas to Fort Bend County detention facility; Transports persons under extradition orders from out of state locations; Transports
individuals with mental health problems to treatment facilities.
Testifies before Grand Jury and at Criminal Court proceedings.
Signs for and is held financially accountable for equipment issued.
Assists and/or instructs other employees with their duties; reviews work of other employees; establishes standards and/or priorities; ensures that established standards are met by others.
Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
Minimum Requirements
SALARY RANGE: $36.56 Min to $54.84/ Max per hour
CLOSING DATE: Upon filling position
