Job Description
- Perform Laboratory tests on soils concrete construction materials and asphalt to conform with Caltrans ASTM AASHTO test methods and State procedures.
- Effectively communicate test results to office and field personnel as well as client contacts.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Provide detailed reports and data from test results.
- Ensure all samples are accurately logged.
- Provide laboratory equipment maintenanceand calibration.
- Document and implement test process.
- Sample inventory management.
- Documentation and data maintenance
- Perform field inspection testing and sampling as needed.
- Pick up soil and concrete samples from various project sites.
- Communication (oral and written) mechanical and technical skills.
- Understand construction and manufacturing process engineering drawings and assembly testing.
- Must be punctual professional reliable and dependable.
- Ability to work effectively with company personnel as well as with clients and vendors in coordinating client requirements with companys capability to satisfactorily complete jobs.
- Ability to work overtime weekends and varying hours when required.
- Knowledge of building systems & construction techniques.
- Ability to work both inside and outside in varying weather conditions.

- 10 years of concrete soil asphalt concrete other construction materials and/or laboratory testing experience and mix design processes.
- Basic computer skills
- Understanding of basic math and physics concepts including Algebra
- Ability to work variable hours
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Excellent organizational skills
- Valid California drivers license
- High school diplomaor equivalent
For this Senior role the following certifications are highly desirable although it is not required to have all those listed.
