Job Summary/Description:
WDTV in Clarksburg is looking for a passionate sports storyteller. We are looking for a sports multimedia journalist to join a team that covers local high school sports including West Virginias longestrunning football highlights show West Virginia University and several local college teams.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
& edit daily sports content for multiple newscasts and digital properties as an MMJ
Develop and grow sources to effectively report and break sports news with local high school college and regional professional teams
Collaborate with Sports Director News Managers Producers and Technical Staff to ensure sports stories are as compelling as possible
Operate portable live units and conduct clean engaging live reports from the field
Demonstrate a working knowledge of BIG 12 players and coaches
Contribute to and help grow the digital presence of WDTV Sports
Qualifications/Requirements:
Ability to meet deadlines
Strong organizational skills and possess the ability to multitask and work under pressure
Maintain a professional appearance
Must possess a valid Drivers License with a good driving record
