Job Description:
The Queens County District Attorneys Domestic Violence Bureau prides itself on taking an innovative evidencebased approach in finding a balance between accountability for domestic abusers and safety for victims of intimate partner violence. We have an immediate opening for experienced Assistant District Attorneys to work on a proactive prearrest case enhancement program that prioritizes victim safety and allows us to identify and enhance the prosecution of highrisk domestic violence cases after a crime has occurred but before the offender is apprehended. ADAs working on this team will coordinate with responding officers domestic violence officers detectives and field intelligence officers to make sure that crucial evidence including surveillance video text messages voicemails and social media postings are preserved. They will also work with a team of analysts to interpret data from a variety of sources including the NYPD to help us focus and direct our efforts at prosecuting and suppressing domestic violence. Finally they will collaborate with our Crime Victim Assistance Program and partner agencies to ensure victim safety.
Responsibilities of an assistant in the program include:
