The Division of Geriatric Medicine and Gerontology at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine is seeking a provider for a fulltime faculty position. This role will help expand our clinical footprint within Baltimore Maryland. Clinical leadership opportunities may be available for highly qualified and successful candidates.
The position involves collaboration with the Directors of Clinical and Research Operations along with other Divisional and Departmental leadership to advance the divisions clinical research and educational missions. The focus will be on enhancing care for Geriatric patients developing specialized clinical programs and providing education to postdoctoral fellows residents interns and medical students.
Essential Job Functions
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual passionate about improving care for geriatric patients while advancing clinical research and educational initiatives in a worldrenowned medical institution.
A Doctoral degree is required.
13 years of related experience is required.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
Ability to work with a variety of individuals and groups constructively and civilly while appreciating the unique contribution of individuals from varied cultures nationalities genders ages etc.
Ability to utilize existing resources and learning to achieve or exceed desired outcomes of current and future organizational goals/needs. Able to demonstrate ethical behavior in diverse situations while producing results.
Knowledge of practices behaviors applicable laws rules and regulations governing proper research conduct; ability to demonstrate ethical and compliant behavior in diverse situations.
Knowledge of the procedures and programs in place in the organization to ensure employee student and subject safety (occupational safety fire patient animal drug radiation environmental safety and emergency plans); ability to train others; ability to take appropriate actions in case of emergency.

The preemployment physical for positions in clinical areas laboratories working with research subjects or involving community contact requires documentation of immune status against Rubella (German measles) Rubeola (Measles) Mumps Varicella (chickenpox) Hepatitis B and documentation of having received the Tdap (Tetanus diphtheria pertussis) vaccination. This may include documentation of having two 2 MMR vaccines; two 2 Varicella vaccines; or antibody status to these diseases from laboratory testing. Blood tests for immunities to these diseases are ordinarily included in the preemployment physical exam except for those employees who provide results of blood tests or immunization documentation from their own health care providers. Any vaccinations required for these diseases will be given at no cost in our Occupational Health office.
The referenced salary range reflects base pay which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not include all components of the Department of Medicine faculty compensation program or pay from participation in the Department of Medicine incentive compensation programs.
