The Network Cable Technician works under the direction of the Engineering/Facilities management. This position is responsible for installing troubleshooting and maintaining video and data cables and copper and fiber cabling infrastructure as per standards of the organization. This position is responsible for maintaining supply inventory of high use or critical long lead items necessary for completion of work. The special nature of this position may require working any shift all days of the week and holidays.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
Three years experience in network cabling
Desired:
Experience working in a hospital environment
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
Current California Drivers License
Eligible to be insured under the Medical Centers Liability Policy with DMV Report (and minimum
age 21
Desired:
Certified Network Cable Installer
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
This position requires knowledge of various wiring configurations and terminations as well as possess technical skills and knowledge of telecommunications industry and installations including voice data and video structured cabling systems. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
