Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the audit process including preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor requests.
- Manage and oversee grant accounting and compliance ensuring alignment with funding requirements.
- Assist with SEFA (Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards) reporting if applicable.
- Prepare and review financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP Uniform Guidance etc..
- Collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure accurate grant tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
- Strong grants accounting and compliance experience is required.
- Nonprofit financial reporting experience is required.
- SEFA reporting experience is a plus.
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior accounting or controller role preferably in a nonprofit organization.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
