Cordia Resources is seeking an experienced Interim Controller Consultant to provide critical financial leadership during our audit process and grants management. This role will focus on financial reporting grants compliance and audit preparation ensuring accuracy and compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. Strong grants experience is required and SEFA experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the audit process including preparing necessary documentation and responding to auditor requests.
Manage and oversee grant accounting and compliance ensuring alignment with funding requirements.
Assist with SEFA (Schedule of Expenditures of Federal Awards) reporting if applicable.
Prepare and review financial statements and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to nonprofit accounting standards (GAAP Uniform Guidance etc..
Collaborate with finance and program teams to ensure accurate grant tracking and reporting.
Qualifications:
Strong grants accounting and compliance experience is required.
Nonprofit financial reporting experience is required.
SEFA reporting experience is a plus.
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a related field.
Minimum 7 years of experience in a senior accounting or controller role preferably in a nonprofit organization.
Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills.
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fastpaced environment.
