Job Title: Compex Electrician / Hazardous Area Electrician

Location: Ideally you will live within 30 miles of Knowsley Merseysideor Avonmouth Bristol.

Salary: 49100 Company Van Fuel Card Night out allowance Overtime.

Hours: Monday Friday 8am 5pm 40 hours)

Contract / Permanent: Permanent Vacancy

My clients team are looking for a Hazardous Area Electrician / Compex Electrician where youll play a pivotal role in the installation maintenance inspection and testing of LPG/LNG plants across the UK.

Responsibilities:

As a Hazardous Area Electrician your key responsibilities will include:

  • Installing new customer LPG/LNG plants throughout the UK.
  • Conducting electrical inspections and rectification work on customer installations across the country.
  • Performing electrical inspections rectification work and full plant upgrades on installations nationwide.
  • Assembling LPG vaporizers Pump skid units and package boiler houses offsite.
  • Prepare and install IECEx/Atex rated equipment including motors control stations junction boxes and lighting.
  • Metal trunking conduit tray SWA cables glands and LV distribution.

As a Hazardous Area Electrician youll help install maintain inspect and test Liquid Petroleum Gas and Liquid Natural Gas plants throughout the UK. The works varied. One day you might be assembling or installing LPG vaporisers pump skid units and package boiler houses for our growing range of business customers from distilleries to national retail chains. The next you could be updating our clients own plants across the country or working on sustainable energy solutions like the development of biomethane plants. Wherever the day takes you youll make sure youre doing energy right by your customers and your team and putting safety first always.

Qualifications and Skills:

What well need from you as a Hazardous Area Electrician

  • Youll need to be an approved electrician with an accredited apprenticeship or comparable qualification (JIB Graded Gold card or above)
  • Compex 014
  • Inspection and Testing C&G 2391 or 2394 & 2395
  • A CCSNG/JIB or equivalent Safety passport
  • Skilled in the installation of IECEx/Atex rated equipment including motors control stations junction boxes and lighting
  • Proficient in the installation of Metal Trunking conduit and tray SWA cables and glands LV distribution equipment and ancillaries
  • Good understanding of schematic Loop P&ID and zone drawings as well as control systems and fault finding
  • Good IT literacy in Microsoft Excel and Office
  • Willing to perform a role that can be physically demanding and involves some heavy lifting
