Crisis Intervention Intern
Location: Rockford IL
Position Summary
Under the Program Managers direction the Crisis Intervention Intern will work alongside first responders to provide onsite crisis intervention deescalation and stabilization services for adults and children experiencing or who are at risk for experiencing a behavioral health crisis.
Hours: Flexible schedule
Responsibilities
Internship responsibilities vary and are based on the agreement between the educational institution and NYAP
Perform all work in a manner consistent with the National Youth Advocate Programs mission values and philosophies
Minimum Qualifications
Enrollment in an Bachelors Degree in Social Work Counseling Psychology or related field from a CSWE accredited educational program.
Specific qualifications will be based on internship details.
Proficient use of desktop and laptop computers smart phones and tablets printers fax machines and photocopiers as well as software including word processing spreadsheet and database programs.
