The Application Service Delivery Manager (SDM) is a key role within the Information Technology (IT) Corporate team as it is the role responsible from definition to development & support of all applications in scope.
The SDM takes full accountability for the scoping and implementation of the approved business & IT demands including dependencies identified in other areas. He/she ensures that deliverables are completed within agreed cost timescale budgets and are formally accepted by appropriate stakeholders.
The SDM is also responsible for application support ensuring that application incidents reduce over time and that they dont impact business operations.
He/she reports operationally to the IT Portfolio Owner. He/she provides effective leadership to the delivery teams adopts appropriate project and support management methods and tools manages the change control process and assesses and manages risks. He/she also prepares realistic plans and ensures that they are maintained and delivers regular and accurate communication to stakeholders.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Know in detail the reference standards & best practices defined by Enterprise Architecture and Security SGS departments to ensure technical design quality and vulnerability compliance.
- Provide and/or validate technical design for all application development activities.
- Ensure developments meet both the technical and operational requirements (such as security availability maintainability and performance for customdeveloped applications as well as standard packagebased solutions and legacy applications either by developing him/herself or by overseeing vendor work.
- Coordinate with the Service Delivery Manager to define technical debt reduction plans on legacy applications and implement them.
- Improve application environments management and deployment processes.
- Support critical production incidents resolution when needed.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree and/or Masters with relevant IT or Computer Science background.
- Excellent understanding of Software Delivery Life Cycle Software Architecture and development best practices.
- Relevant experience managing requirements through the entire delivery and operational life cycle.
- Able to translate complex or highly technical topics into simple concepts.
- Broad multitechnology knowledge with focus on technologies more widely used in SGS .Net C# Angular Vue.js MS Dynamics SQL Server Azure technologies Java Spring.
- At least 5 years of relevant fullstack web application development using Microsoft technologies.
- Strong experience with development methodologies and tool sets Agile DevSecOps Lean.
- Knowledge of SAST and SCA tools.
- Focused on delivery quality and security.
- Used to working in an international environment.
- Fluent in English.
