Job Description

The Project Manager role is a handson position requiring excellent project management technical organizational and communication skills. This position is responsible for the planning management and of Customer Support upgrades and modernization projects for the Logistic/airport segments as well as New Sales projects within the Products segment within North America Mexico and Central America. The Project Manager will support both Customer Support and Products business segments. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • of modernization projects from contract signed to handover to customer.
  • Managing several 1020 projects) at the same time ranging from $ 50000 to $.
  • Organizing the projects through the Stage Gate model with planning specifications design production installation/commissioning planning and agreements to execute within the agreed timeframe.
  • Continuous communication with customers stakeholders and the project team to ensure flow and commitment throughout the project.
  • Being proactive and address opportunities and risks continuously
  • Responsible for the overall project delivery quality/capacity wise technically timeframe and financially.
  • Develop and update project schedule.   
  • Create financial reporting and control the project budget.
  • Technical support to site during installation commissioning and final testing.
  • Compiling report track project tasks update monthly status reports.                                                      
  • Coordination and preparation for meetings.
  • Follow up on action points and expedite critical activities.  
  • Keep project documents updated and communicate changes to project team.
  • Ensure project health safety and environmental standards meet or exceed legislated requirements and company policy.
  • Efficiently close out projects incl. making sure all customer documentation is created and stored.   
  • PM Support for CS and Products segments approx. 50/50.       

Qualifications :

Requirements/Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelors degree in engineering; mechanical electrical software construction management or similar technical field. Alternatively at least 5 years of relevant industrial PM experience.
  • Project management experience with delivering projects preferably in the mechatronic/industrial automation industry.
  • Strong technical background (electrical mechanical marine engineer or similar).
  • Process oriented and able to implement project management processes based on PMO standards.
  • Skilled project manager with crosscultural understanding and good interpersonal communication and collaboration skills; You can communicate with everyone.
  • Handson approach with the ability to motivate others toward success.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Essential skills include planning and budgeting project administration and decisionmaking / creative problemsolving skills.
  • Work closely with team members and decision makers to identify recommend develop implement and support costeffective project delivery.
  • Able to interface with all members of the organization in a professional calm helpful and courteous manner including Senior Executive Management Project Management and external stakeholders.
  • Strong independent decisionmaking ability. Selfstarter and possess a strong work ethic with a selfimposed desire to exceed everyday expectations.
  • Participate in required ongoing technical training to be a systems subject matter expert.
  • Must be willing to travel and work as part of a global team of professionals as required (up to 25 of the time).
  • PMP Certification is required or must obtain PMI/PMP Certification within one year of hire.
