Summary
The IT Technicians role is to ensure system operation and functionality so that end users can accomplish business tasks. The objective of the IT Technician will be to respond to support requests in a timely manner be the initial reference point for all IT support related tickets and to ensure the satisfaction of the end user among other technical duties.
IT Technicians are expected to display good interpersonal skills as they will interact with colleagues from various departments executive levels and customers daily.
IT Technician II Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support via phone web portal and email to ensure timely and effective resolution of enduser issues.
  • Set up and provision systems for new hires including hardware and software installation.
  • Prioritize and manage service requests and incidents according to defined SLAs.
  • Utilize remote tools and diagnostics to troubleshoot and resolve support requests efficiently.
  • Perform handson technical support for hardware repairs peripheral installations and other onsite fixes as needed.
  • Install and configure hardware and software across network infrastructure devices including antivirus updates and security compliance.
  • Administer servers and IT systems using Active Directory File & Print services DNS and DHCP.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance on workstations printers and peripherals while ensuring company safety and security standards are met.
IT Technician II Qualifications:
  • College diploma or university degree in the field of Computer Science and/or 3 years equivalent work experience.
  • Experience with Office 365 administration Windows 7 Server and Mac OS
  • Active Directory knowledge Kaseya RMM and Autotask PSA experience is a plus
  • CompTIA A and/or CompTIA Network preferred
  • Some knowledge and understating of networking devices and appliances.
  • Valid Driver License and ability to drive to customer locations when required.
