Were looking for a skilled Staff Software Engineer to lead the design and development of Thomasnets nextgeneration advertising platform enhancing how industrial suppliers showcase their products and services while delivering unmatched value to our customers.

About the Role

As a Staff Software Engineer youll play a pivotal role in designing and evolving a robust scalable and innovative advertising platform. Youll collaborate across engineering product and business teams to create an ecosystem that enables precisiontargeted ad delivery while adhering to privacy regulations maximizing performance and creating a seamless user experience for advertisers and users alike.

Youll be tasked with designing & building solutions that integrate cuttingedge technologies like AIdriven recommendations advanced analytics and realtime bidding systems ensuring Thomasnet remains the goto platform for industrial advertising.

Key Responsibilities

• Platform Architecture & Design:
• Lead the architecture and design of Thomasnets ad platform focusing on scalability efficiency and reliability.
• Define system interfaces APIs and integrations with thirdparty tools.
• Technical Leadership:
• Set technical direction and help establish best practices across the engineer teams.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver highquality solutions aligned with business goals.
• Ad Delivery & Optimization:
• Design mechanisms for targeted ad delivery realtime auction systems and dynamic budget optimization.
• Integrate machine learning models to enhance audience segmentation campaign performance and predictive analytics.
• Compliance & Security:
• Ensure platform compliance with privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Implement rigorous data security measures to safeguard user and advertiser data.
• Scalability & Performance:
• Build systems capable of handling millions of daily ad impressions and clicks.
• Continuously optimize platform performance through monitoring analytics and feedback loops.

Requirements

Technical Skills:

• 8 years of experience in software engineering with at least 3 years in ad platform development or related fields.
• Strong technical expertise with programming languages like Typescript Java Scala or Python.
• Proficiency with cloud platforms such as AWS Google Cloud or Azure.
• Experience with search related technologies such as OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with ad tech tools and standards including DSPs SSPs RTB protocols and adserving technologies.
• Experience and knowledge of sound software application and system level design & architecture.

Leadership & Collaboration:

• Proven experience in leading crossfunctional teams and influencing stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.

Bonus Qualifications:

• Handson experience with machine learning and AI for ad optimization.
• Knowledge of privacy frameworks and compliance best practices in ad tech.
• Experience building SaaS products or platforms within the industrial/manufacturing domain.
