Overview
RiverView Health is a community owned membership based nonprofit organization that was formed in 1898 and continues to be the sole community hospital in Crookston MN.
RiverView Health operates a 25 bed Critical Access Hospital RiverView Recovery Center; a chemical dependency outpatient treatment program RiverView Home Care and five primary care and specialty clinics in the hospitals service area.

Responsibilities
RiverView Health is looking to hire an OnCall SpeechLanguage Pathologist (SLP). The SLP will work as a member of our speech therapy team to perform evaluations and treatments for patients in primarily the outpatient setting with opportunity for inpatient subacute and Videofluoroscopic Swallow Studies (VFSS) care. The SLP is expected to effectively and professionally interacting with patients family members and other health care team members while maintaining RiverView Health standards of behavior. Salary range is $37.53 $52.56 and starting wage is dependent on experience.
Primary responsibilities:
- Complete evaluations and patient assessments for speech language communication and swallowing disorders to determine necessity for skilled services
- Develop and implement plans of care that focus on measurable outcomes to achieve established goals
- Identify patients needs (physical cultural and psychosocial) and exhibit compassion caring and empathy to individual differences
- Provides guidance and education to patients and their families on techniques to support the patients goals.
- Document and complete billing according to current standards and policies
- Perform data collection and obtain accurate information
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure optimal outcomes
- Assist in maintenance of equipment tools supplies and inventory
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards
- Ensure continued competence and updated field knowledge
Qualifications
- Current State of Minnesota licensein SpeechLanguage Pathology or proactively in the process of the applying for current state licensure in SpeechLanguage Pathology; license must be in good standing.
- Masters degree in Speech Language Pathologyis required.
- Certificate of clinical Competency (CCC) or in clinical fellowship is required.
- Current American Heart BLS certification is required. If not current training will be provided and certification must be obtained within 4 months from the date of hire or employment will be terminated.
