Job Description
Job Title: Linux System Administrator
Location: Lisbon Portugal
Work Regime: Fulltime & Hybrid 3x week in office)
Overview / Summary:
We are looking for a Linux System Administratorresponsible for managing maintaining and optimizing Linuxbased environments ensuring system stability security and performance. This role involves working with virtualization containerization and orchestration technologies such as VMware Docker and Kubernetes. Additionally the administrator will handle network configurations security protocols and firewall management while automating processes using scripting and Ansible. Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to system administration are essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities and Tasks:
- Manage and maintain Linuxbased systems (Debian CentOS Redhat Oracle Linux) ensuring performance security and updates.
- Deploy configure and troubleshoot containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Administer virtualization networking and security by managing VMware HP network environments and firewall configurations (CheckPoint).
- Automate system processes using scripting (Bash awk perl) and configuration management tools like Ansible.
Requirements
Mandatory Requirements:
- Academic background in Computer Science Computing or Engineering.
- At least 5 years of experience with Linux (Debian CentOS Redhat Oracle Linux) and knowledge of Docker Kubernetes and Ansible.
- Experience with virtualization (VMware) web servers (Apache Nginx) and application servers (Tomcat).
Complementary Requirements:
- Basic knowledge of database administration (MySQL PostgreSQL) and scripting (Bash awk perl).
- Skills in HP networks information security and CheckPoint firewalls.

Mandatory Requirements: 8+ years of professional experience relevant for the role; Vast experience with Vanilla Javascript; Experience with React.Js or Next.Js; Experience with Azure Cloud is a plus. Experience with New Relic is a Plus. Use state management like Redux or other.
