Position Summary:

As the Intermediate Accountant you will play a key role in delivering highquality accounting and tax services to our clients. The position primarily involves communicating with individual clients for their personal tax returns including facetoface meetings and phone and email correspondence. This position also involves preparing financial statements and ensuring compliance with tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of accounting principles strong analytical skills and the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant accounting standards.
  • Assist in the reviewing of individual tax returns of less experienced colleagues.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients providing exceptional service and addressing their accounting and taxrelated needs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal state and local tax laws and regulations.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and accounting standards and participate in ongoing professional development activities.

Skills:

  • 23 years of experience in Australian Public Accounting with a focus on tax preparation and financial statement preparation.
  • Proficiency in accounting software Xero.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and tax regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problemsolving abilities.
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong client service orientation and interpersonal skills.
