Position: Phlebotomist

We are currently seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team as a contractor.
Contract Details:
This is a contract position with a duration of 3 months with the possibility of extension based on performance and business needs. The contractor will work on a fulltime basis with a schedule of 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
Perform venipuncture and capillary punctures on patients of all ages
Collect and label blood specimens accurately and in a timely manner
Follow proper protocols and safety measures to ensure the integrity and quality of the collected samples
Verify patient identification and maintain patient confidentiality
Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for blood collection
Communicate effectively with patients healthcare team members and laboratory staff
Maintain accurate and organized records of collected specimens and related paperwork
Adhere to all relevant policies procedures and regulations
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Completion of a phlebotomy training program
Current certification as a phlebotomist
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist in a healthcare setting
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow protocols and safety measures
Ability to handle stressful situations and work effectively in a fastpaced environment
Flexibility to work varying shifts and weekends if needed
Basic computer skills and knowledge of electronic medical records
