Job Description

Location: Cape Town

Overview:

Our Client an internationally recognised nonprofit organisation that provides Health Care Services throughout South Africa is looking for a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team!

Purpose of the position:

Responsible for the gathering and analysing of financial information supporting and developing budgets reporting information dissemination and analysis. This role will provide direct support to the Financial Manager/Financial Management Team including month end processes audit preparation and and other ad hoc tasks.

Minimum requirements:

  • Registered CA (SA) with minimum 1 years experience as an Accountant / Cost Accountant; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Post article experience in financial reporting financial management or a related field desirable.
  • Previous SAP and Power BI experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of financial accounting systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft packages (Advanced Excel skills).
  • Clear credit and criminal record.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare project specific and organisational budgets/financial reports as and when needed.
  • Budget development in support of new business activities.
  • Ensuring that organisational policies are considered in all budgeting processes.
  • Develop and update appropriate templates to assist in budget consolidation and may need to interact with subawardees and review budgets prepared by subawardees to ensure quality standards are maintained if applicable.
  • Review budgets/forecasts prepared by others to ensure quality standards are maintained.
  • Facilitate accurate forecasting for projects.
  • Maintain and builds productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders (funders government auditors etc..
  • Assist and support the financial management team.
