Essential Function

The Data Analytics Summer Intern will help leverage datadriven insights to improve business decisionmaking including activities like analysis of large datasets development of AIdriven models and creation of interactive dashboards using Microsoft Fabric Databricks and Power BI. The work will help optimize retail operations enhance customer experiences and drive efficiencies across merchandising supply chain and ecommerce.

Primary Duties

40 Analyze Large Datasets Extract clean and analyze structured and unstructured retail data using SQL Python Databricks and Microsoft Fabric to identify trends and business insights that drive decisionmaking.

20 Develop AIDriven Models Assist in building and testing machine learning models for demand forecasting customer segmentation and fraud detection improving operational efficiency and customer engagement.

20 Create Interactive Dashboards & Reports Design and develop realtime visual dashboards using Power BI to track key performance metrics for merchandising supply chain and ecommerce

10Support Data Engineering & Cloud Analytics Work with Azure cloud platform and Microsoft Fabric to optimize data pipelines and storage solutions ensuring data availability and accuracy.

10 Collaborate & Present Insights Work crossfunctionally with business stakeholders data scientists and engineers to present actionable insights recommendations and datadriven solutions to leadership teams

Knowledge Skills and Abilities

• Currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Science Analytics Computer Science Statistics Mathematics or a related field.
• Prior work experience coursework or internship experience in data analytics machine learning or business intelligence is preferred. Experience working with large datasets in a retail ecommerce or supply chain environment is a plus.
• Proficiency in SQL for querying and manipulating large datasets.
• Experience with Python or R for data analysis statistical modeling and machine learning.
• Familiarity with Databricks and Microsoft Fabric for data processing and analytics.
• Handson experience with Power BI for dashboard development and data visualization.
• Understanding of Azure cloud platform and data engineering concepts.

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

The work is sedentary. Typically the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying of light items such as papers files books small parts; using a keyboard driving an automobile etc. No special physical demands are required to perform the work.
