Job Description
Position Summary
Provide transportation services for university employees students visitors and faculty while ensuring transportation services and passenger safety. Monitors equipment and performs limited maintenance. This is an OnCall position and working hours are variable up to and can occasionally exceed 40 hours in one week.
Duties And Responsibilities
Drives a universityowned bus providing safe and efficient transportation to the university community and its visitors. Performs routine vehicle inspection and maintenance including checking the oil fuel brakes lights windshield wipers and water and tire pressures. Provides information and other general assistance to the university community and its visitors. Maintains DOT approved logbook hours of work performed; makes timely reports of accidents incidents and unusual occurrences. Must comply with Department of Transportation regulations and departmental policies and procedures. Performs miscellaneous jobrelated duties as assigned. Maintain regular attendance.
Physical Demands
Physical requirements must be in compliance with all provisions of DOT Regulation 49 CFR Parts 40 and 382. Lifting 0 to 50 pounds..Frequently Lifting greater than fifty 50 pounds..Occasionally Sitting..Frequently Driving long hours.Frequently Standing..Frequently Walking.Frequently Bending..Frequently Squatting...Frequently Climbing .Frequently Kneeling .Frequently
