Job Description
There is an opening for a Manufacturing Engineer I (salary exempt position) based at the ENF Irvine Plant however from time to time you may be assigned to the Corry/Warren Plants.
These job functions are not intended to be an allencompassing list of duties:
- Manufacturing process development and improvements
- Standardizing work instructions and detailed control plans for semifinished and finished parts
- Manufacturing Evaluation and Optimization (Manufacturing Flow Routings Coordination with Tooling and Programming)
- LEAN coordination and implementation throughout facility focusing on setup reduction tooling and fixturing.
- Gage identification procurement design and implementation
- Facilitate the manufacturing design process including design review and route review meetings.
- Leading the contract review process for new item assessment and processing.
- Working with sales to quote machining hours and tooling costs.
- As well as any other duties and responsibilities as required from time to time to support the business needs.
Regular attendance as scheduled is an essential function.
MNIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Fouryear BS Degree in a related Engineering discipline (preferred Mechanical or Industrial engineering degree)
- 2 5 years of manufacturing experience.
- Strong personal computer skills including Microsoft office programs
- Proficient with Solid Works modeling software and/or NX
- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills
- Must be results oriented with a strong desire to succeed and be selfdriven
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience with the following:
- Machining or machine tools
- Manufacturing planning
- Metallurgy; including heat treatment and mechanical requirements
- TOC Manufacturing concepts
- Tooling experience
